Unlimited Products To Sell on eBay? – eBay Trading Assistant
So you’re just getting started to sell on eBay. You have opened up your eBay account and now you need something to sell. Let’s say you’ve already followed my advice to sell what you have around your house. Once you’re done that, you might be stuck, even though your house may be less cluttered. Now what should you do?
It’s important to recognize that the lifeblood of your ebay business is products. If you don’t have any products to sell, then you don’t have an eBay business. You need products. How would you like an unlimited supply?
If so, the answer is simple – become an eBay Trading Assistant. What is this, you ask? Well in a nutshell, a Trading Assistant is someone who helps other people get their items sold on eBay. So if you have an Aunt Gertrude who wants her old porcelain figurines sold on eBay, she can go to you to get them sold. You take the pictures, you write the titles and descriptions, You do everything to “assist” your Aunt Gertrude to sell.
Now you might do this for free for your dear Aunt Gertrude, but for neighbors, you may choose to charge a certain commission for your time and energy. Or, you could buy the products from them and then resell them yourself.
It’s really that simple to have an unlimited supply of products. Everyone you can think of has something extra cluttering up their house. Why not help them get rid of it (and help yourself in the process)? eBay estimates that most people have over $1000 worth of items around the house that are being unused. You can easily see that tapping into this for just a few people will keep you busy for weeks to come.
Ok, so you do want to be a Trading Assistant. There are two ways to do it. First, you can do it the “official way” by registering on eBay. This will advertise you in eBay’s official “Trading Assistant Directory.” However, to be put in their directory, you need to be aware of a few things. First, you need to have 100 feedback ratings, with 98% of them positive. Also, you need to have sold 10 items in the previous 3 months. Your eBay account must also be in good standings. Let’s say you don’t meet all of these requirements. Maybe your feedback score is only 10, but don’t let that stop you. You can still be a trading assistant “unofficially.” eBay isn’t going to stop you from telling your friends and family that you can sell their stuff for them on eBay. The only difference in being “official” and “unofficial” is that you get to use the eBay Trading Assistant logo and you get listed in the Trading Assistant directory. Other than that, it’s up to you to find the people.
Here are some ways you can promote yourself as a Trading Assistant. First, get the word out. Ask your neighbors if they have anything to sell on eBay. Talk to your friends about it. The more people know that you are the guy (or gal) to go to for selling on eBay, then the more products you’ll have to sell. You can also post flyers around town, or put a classified ad in the paper advertising your services.
So what’s the conclusion? There’s really no end of products you can sell when you become a Trading Assistant. You’ll be the person everyone turns to when they have a question about eBay.
